IMPROVEMENT IN METALLIC ROOFING.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 178,639, dated June 13, 1876 application filed May 16, 1876 To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, LAWRENCE J. HOLE- TON, of Niles, in the county of Trumbull and State 01' Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Metallic Booting; and I 'do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention,
- such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it pertains to make and use it, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification;
.VIy invention relates to metallic roofing; and consists in the feature of securing the edges of the sections composing said root, and the the roof are not only securely united and held together, but this is accomplished at a reduced expenditure of time, labor, and expense over any other means or process of which I am aware.
What I claim is 1. A metallic root the joints of which are united and secured by eyelets, substantially as and for the purpose shown.
2. The combination of the flanged or upturned edges of the metallic sheets A of a roof, the cap 13, and the eyelets O, substantially as and for the purpose shown.
