invention relates to a convertibletype sis and being further provided with cut-in rearldoors to accommodate the rear fend ers, and has particularreference to the construction and arrangement of a collapsible roofand sidewall frame which, in anyof' its positoins, open orclosed, will give no intimation that thecar is'convertible.

In a convertible automobile body comprising a side wall having an opening therein and a floor board provided with an opening, the combination therewith of a roof support ing device comprising a beam designed to be moved into and out of the opening in the floor board and a supporting frame for said beam, said supporting frame comprising a. member telescopically corelated to one end of said beam, a second member movably supported in the opening in the side wall and a third member connecting said two frame members to each other, whereby said beam may be swung upwardly into roof supporting position or downwardly out of such position.
