This inventon relates to fuel mixers for internal combustion engines and consists in i' certain improvements in construction thereof and willV be hereinafter fully described and 5 pointed out inthe claim. l
'The invention is .especially useful in cono vnection. with' ,engines where the range of power output is great as in the usual automobile. 10, The primary object of the invention is to provide an improved lapparatus for 'preparing and heating a charge of inixture' andv thus `equalize the .fuel value delivered to each combustion space. A'further and very important object is the provision of an improved manifold structure embodying means to atomize a charge.
A further and important' object is to arrange' the several essential parts so that there is '(what is essential at low Speeds and light loads) an increase in the Velocity of the flow of -mixture at the point of distribution, advantage is taken' of the value of a Vent-uri tube into which there is a nozzle and the constriction and nozzle action is used to speed up the flow and atolnize the charge of inixture'fiowing from the carburetor, the
increased Velocity at the point of charge division and the action of diverging spirally arranged nozzle jets produce theV effect' es-` sential to break up the Vparticles of gaso-line or 'other liquids that tend to combine on light loads due to the relatively slow, velocities in throttled conditions.
VVith the above mentioned and other ends in view, the invention consists in 'the novel construction, arrangement and combination of parts, hereinafter described and `illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in
