FREEZE, or cAPEemARDEAU;'MIssounI x I This invention relates to" a boat particularly of the somewhat houseboat type but yet may be used for carrying freight or any other desired purpose, and the prime object of the invention resides in the provision of a boat of this nature which will draw'but littlewater when in motion and capableof attaininga relatively high speed. 7
Another very important object of the invention resides in the provision of a boat of this nature which will tend to rise in the water as it picks up speed.
A still further very important ob] ect of the invention resides in the provision of a boat of this nature which is very simple in its con struction, inexpensive to manufacture,strong and durable, economical, reliable, and eflicient in operation and otherwise well adapted to the purpose-for which it is designed.

It is thought that the construction, utility and advantages ofthis invention will-now so bequite apparent to those skilled in this art without a more detailed description thereof. Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new is: p r
'1. In a boat of the class described, a frame, a plurality of transverse shafts'in the frame, a pair of drums on each shaft, sleeves journaled on the shafts and connecting the? drums, Worm gears on the-sleeves, a longitudinal shaft, worm portions on the longitudinal shaft connecting with the Worm gears,.and means for rotating the longitudina shaft.
' 2. Ina a plurality of transverse shafts in the frame, a vpair ofdrums on each shaft, sleeves journaled'on the shafts and connecting the drums,
worm gears on thesleeves, a longitudinal :shaft, Worm portions on the longitudinal shaft meshing Withthe Worm gears, a pair of propeller shafts rotatably supported in one end of the frame,one to each side of said longitudinal shaft, chain and sprocket mechanisms operatively connecting said longitudinal shaft with said propeller shafts, and means for rotating said longitudinal shaft.
3. A boat, having in combination, a plurality of pairs of propeller drums, a supporting 'shaft for the drums of each pair of drums,
said shaft being arranged in longitudinal spaced relation, an actuating shaft for the first mentioned shaft and having its axes at right angles to thea-Xes of the first mentioned shafts, means rotatable on said first men-V tioned shaft, andoperatively connecting the drums of the respective pairs of drums, said means also including means operatively connected with the last referred to shaft,a pair of screw propellers, supporting shafts therefor, mechanism common to said propeller shafts and said last mentioned shafts for simultaneously actuating said drumsandwsaid propellers, and finsl radiating from .said 7 drums.
