It is apparent from v Figure 2 that the guides 13 are positioned on both sides of the wash bag receptacle and the latter through the medium of its guide members, sliding movement in the the door 8 is open, the I tacle will slide forward in the guides 13 to the position shown in Figure 2 at which time the wash bag can be removed therefrom. The guides 13 are provided in their forward portions with the depending lugs 20 which act to limit the forward sliding movement of the bag receptacle by coming into i contact with the guides 11 and adjacent the depending lugs 20 there is provided an opening 2l-into which drops a lip 22 formed. on the guide 11, this lip being for the purpose of preventing forward sliding movement of the wash bag receptacle after the same is moved rearwardly to allow thedoor 8 to be closed. When thewa'shbag receptacle 9 has been pushed rearwardly, that is, toward the back of the machine in the guides 13, the extended forward porgnides so that when 7 tion 23 of the receptacle will be in position to lie behind the strap 19 of the door 8. In addition to the lip 22 retaining the bag receptacle '9 in its rearward position until the door 8 is closed, the strap 19 on the door will prevent any movement of the bag re ceptacle during revolving movement of the inner cylindrical drum 7.

It is quite evident that the openings 10 in the wash bag receptacle will allow passage of the watertherethrough to cleanse the bag and will also be. self-draining when the drum 7 is brought to a stop.

It is also evident that the end of the guides, in which are formed the lugs 20, be-

to the straps 15 on the inner ghas forward ag holding receping disposed within the drum 7, will abut against the front wall of the bag receptacle 9 and will limit the rearward movement of the receptacle when the same is pushed in the guides 13 to allow the door 18 to be closed. The slides 11 have sufficient play in the guides 13 to permit the lugs 22 of the slides being raised to clear'the openings 21.

It is quite evident also, that our improved laundry bagholdermay be placedin any machine employing inner cylindrical drums of-the revolvable type.

It is apparent also, that we have provided a wash bag receptacle which will permit the bag to be cleansed simultaneously with the clothes but separate therefrom so that" larity, we realize that in practice various alterations therein may be made. We therefore reserve the right and privilege of changing the form of the details of construction or otherwise altering the arrangement of the correlated parts without departing from the spirit of the invention or the scope of the appended claims.

Having thusdescribed our invention what we claim as new and desire to secure by United States Letters Patent is 1. In a washing machine, an inner cylindrical drum having anopening in the curved wall thereof, and a door for closing said opening, a perforated receptacle positioned interiorly of the drum and having an open side opposite the curved vwall of the drum and also having a bottom wall and end walls, guides within the drum adjacent the end walls thereof, means upon the end walls of the receptacle slidably engaging the guides whereby to provide for movement of the receptacle into and out of position with its open side registering with the door of the drum, and means for holding the receptable in such position and in a position with its open side rearwardly with respect to the said door.

2. In a washing machine, an inner cylindrical drum having, an opening in its wall, a door for closing said opening, a receptacle positioned within the drum and comprising a perforated semi-cylindrical body having end walls, and an open side, the open side of the body being adjacent the wall of the drum, guides within the drum, means upon the end walls of the receptacle slidably engaging the guides to provide for movement of the receptacle into and i I sition with its open side rearwardly of the" opening in which the door is mounted, when the door is in closed'position, the said means comprising a cleat upon the inner side of the doorand an extension from the wall of the receptacle at one side of the open side thereof engageable with said cleat.

3. In a washing machine, an inner cy- 'lindrical drum having an opening in its, wall, a door for closing said opening, a receptacle positioned within I the drum and 7 comprising a perforated" semi-cylindrical body havingend walls, and an open side,

the open side of the body being adjacent the wall of the drum, guides within the drum, means upon the end walls of the receptacle slidably engaging the guides to provide formovement ofthe receptacle into and out of position with its open side opposite the said opening in the wall ofthe drum, and coacting means upon the receptacle and'the said door for holding the receptacle in poopening in which the door is mounted, when the door is in closed position, the said means including a cleat upon the inner side of the door, an extension upon the body wall of the V v receptacle engageable with said cleat when the door is in closed position, and coacting 1 means upon the receptacle and the guides for holding the receptacle in position with the extension ofits said wall in position to be engaged by thesaid cleat when the door is closed.
