, The present invention relates, generally, to apparatus for handling several sheets of paper simultaneously. one over the other with carbon between formaking an original and copies of sales memoranda and the like.
The inventionrelates more particularly to apparatus of the kind indicated adapted for holding several rolls of paper in such a manner that they can be drawn out or unrolled U) by hand in superimposed sheets with the rolls themselves serving as weights to tension the sheets so that they will lie smoothly one over the other.
Objects and advantages of the apparatus of the invention will be apparent from the following description of an, embodiment of the invention and from the drawings illustrating the same; and the invention also con sists in the various devices and arrangements 3 and combinations of parts set forth in the app'cnded claim.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a longitudinal elevational view in section showing a device embodying the invention; Figure 2 is a plane r view of the same; and Figure 3 illustrates the individual sheet cut from the roll of paper used in the form of the invention illustrated.

On each flange 6 the respective tabs 22, 23 carry a bar 24, 24 extending therebe tween and inserted with its respective ends between tabs 22, 23 and the flange 6, said tabs serving as spring friction means for holding the bars in place. At the rear and beyond said tabs 22, 23 said cover 2 carries a; 30 downwardly sloping portion 26 which carries the transversely spaced apart studs 28 which project substantially at right angles there from. Beyond said studs 28, 28 said cover portion 26 bends downwardly at the angle 35 and then upwardly at the angle and ter- -minates in a paper cutting edge 30, which is aligned with the surface of said portion 26.
The rolls of paper 32, 32 are mounted on said support members 8, 8 and are divided longitudinally. into sheets 33, 33 defined by the lettering and lining printed thereon and each of said sheets 33, 33 is provided nearits top with a pair of transversely spaced apart holes 3-1, 34 adapted to fit over and engage respective ones of said studs 28, 28 in a'manner and forthe purpose hereinafter more fully described. Each of said rolls of paper 32, 32 is mounted sothat the winding is in adirection which is upwardly and toward the front V of the casingil, and each roll has a portion unwound and extending therefrom forwardly and upwardly to and over a respective one of said rollers 20,20 from which they extend, one in superimposed relation over the other,

Also since the inclinedportions of said support members 8, 8 are of considerable length the-said holes 34, 34 can be pulled a -considerable distance 'beyondsaid studs 28, 28'randyet have the weight of the rolls pull 7 thepaper back to bring saidholes' into tensionengagement with said studs 28, 28 when they are set 1n engagement thereover. i The vertical portions of sa1dmembers'8, 8 servein this case to limit the forward movement of s'aid rolls as they are unwound.
