This invention relates to a loom tape selvage motion hanger and bearingand has for one of its objects to provide, in a manner as hereinafter set forth, a device of this 5 character which will be simple in construction, strong, durable, efiicient in its use and which may be manufactured at low cost.
Another important object of the invention is to provide, in a manner as hereinafter set forth, a loom tape selvage motion hanger and bearing which may beexpeditiously and adjustably mounted on either the right or left side of the loom for use.
Other objects andadvantages of the invention will become apparent from a study of the following specification, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings,

Referring to the drawings in detail, the reference character 1 designates a portion of the arch of theloom to which'is bolted a downwardly and forwardly extending hanger 2 through the medium of a foot portion 3 which is engaged against saidarch and a threaded securing elements. The free end of the hanger 2 has formed integrally thereon an elongated transversely extending cylindrical eye! through the. for a ward wall of which is threaded a set screw 6. i
The reference character 7 designates generally the adjustablestand which" comprises a substantially U-shaped bracket including a pair of'parallel spaced vertical arms 8 and a connecting portion 9. An elongated end of the bracket '1 at one side thereof and is adapted to be disposed through the eye of the hanger 2. The shaft 10 is adapted for both rotary and longitudinaladjustment in theeye 5 and is secured in adjusted pofsitionthrough the medium of-th'e set screw .6. The free ends of the arms 8 of the bracket are bifurcated, as at'll, forthe purpose of supporting the pulley 12 .therebetween.
The pulley 12 ,comprisesan annulusj13 provided, on the marginal portion ofits periphery, with circumferentially extend ing guide ribs 141 and said annulus 13 is 1 further provided with a pair of rings 15 which are mounted on its inner periphery and at its opposite ends. Bearing rings 16 are mounted in the rings 15 and mountedfor rotation in. the bearing rings lfi'are the hub portions 17 from which extend the trunnions 18. Ball bearings 19 are disposed be tween the hubs 17 and the bearingrings 16 and the trunnions 18 are provided with longitudinal bores 20 which communicate with bores 21 in the hub portions for conducting a lubricant to the ball bearings. The open ends of the bores 20 are closed through the medium of threaded plugs 22. The trunnions 18 are adapted to be disposed in' the bifurcated ends of the arms 8 of the bracket 7.
A flexible leather strap 23' is trained over the pulley 12 and is secured to the selvage tape harness 24: through the medium of an inverted substantially U-shaped connecting therefore, be mounted for use on either side of the loom. The pulley construction and mounting isv such that the same can be removed by simply lifting it out of the arms 8 for any desiredpurpose, such as lubricattion on the stand by simply removing-the threaded slotted plugs 22.
