My invention relates particularly to bags i used for medicinal irrigations, etc, but which is capable of use for any purpose where a head of liquid is designed to be conveyed to the lower point by. means of a tube.

The object of my invention is to provide a bag of the above character which is adapted to be turned inside out so as to contain the tube and other attachments .on the inside place to place, as in the case of traveling, etc. Also, another object is to provide a handle on the bag which, when not in use for traveling, that is to say, when the bag is being put into use, will be located on the interior of the bag so that its upper portion will serve as a ring for supporting the bag while being used. Another object is to mold the bag in the inside-out position so that when turnedinto the inverse position, that is to say, when being adapted to supply a body of liquid, will'have its walls, as a consequence, placed under compression which will tend to prevent leakage through punctures or any imperfections in the bag; Further objects of my invention will appear from the detailed description of the same hereinafter.

While my invention is capable of embodiment in many different forms, for the purpose of illustration I have shown only one form of the same hereinafter in the accompanying drawingsin which Fig. 1 is a plan view of the bag shown in the position in which it is used for traveling; Fig. 2 is an end elevation of the same; and

Fig. 3 is a vertical section of the same shown turned inside-out in the position in which it is adapted to be used for supplying the body of liquid for medicinal or other purposes.

In the drawings, I have shown a medicinal bag made of rubber, or other flexible ma terial, having a body portion 1, which is molded so that it will be in the form of a flattened oval in cross section, the body portion of the bag being molded or vulcanized in the position shown in Fig. l, with an to the bag 1, the handle length to reach above the filling opening 5 "or vulcanized to the the tapered outlet 2 inwardly turned tapered outlet 2,

Thereafter, as shown in the drawings, there will be secured to the body portion 1 a rubber handle 6 having base flanges 7 and 8 attached by cementing, or vulcanization, 6 being of sufficient when extended in that direction, as shown in F 3. having any desired length, in the other end of which there is placed a vulcanite' flanged 7 connecting tube 11, on which'there is carried a nipple ornozzle12 with perforations 13 in the end thereof.

In the operation of my invention, when the apparatus is being transported from place to place, as, for example, when a doctor is carrying the same from point to point, the bag will be in the position as shown in Fig. 1, that is to say, with the handle 6 extending longitudinally along one edge 3 thereof-, and the rubber tube lO together with the nipple 12 t0lded inwardly on the interiorof the bag. In this form, when not in use the apparatus is in a very convenient form for carrying, in the hand, packing, etc. Also, if it is desired to have the bag occupy the smallest possible compass, the bag in'this position can be rolled up and inserted in the handle 6, thus enabling the latter to act as a strap around the'bag to keep it rolled up into a small compact form. hen, howeveijthe apparatus is to be set up for use, the bag will i be turned inside out into the position shown in' Fig. 3, thus bringing the i handle 6 on the interior of the bag so that its upper end may act as a loop to be passed over a hook lprovided in the wall, or atany other desired supporting point. Also, the tube 10, in this position of the apparatus, will now extend downwardly from the end of the body 1 otthe bag in such a mannerthat fits within the funnelshaped end 9 of the said tube 10, which extends over any desired distance for any medicinal use, as, for example, the irrigation of wounds,

etc. In this position it will be noted, also, that the handle 6, being on the interior of the bag, is entirely out of the way so as to prevent accidental contact with the handle resultin in moving or upsetting the contents of the bag.

While I have described my invention above in detail I wish it to be understood that man changes may be made therein without eparting from the spirit of the same.

I claim:

IVA medicinal bag having a body portion rovided with an outlet, a tube connected to the outlet, adapted to be carried withinthebody ortion by turning the latter inside out, and a handle on the body portion positioned on the outside of the bag when said tube is on the inside thereof.

2;, A medicinal bag having a body portion provided with an outlet, a tube iaving a unnel-shaped end connected to the outside of the outlet, adapted to be carried within the body portion by turning the latter inside out, and a handle on the body portion positioned on the outside of the bag when said tube is on the inside thereof.

3. A medicinal bag having a body portion of rubber provided with an outlet, a tube connected to the outlet, adapted to be carried within the body portion by turning the latter inside-out, and a handle on the body portion positioned on the outside of the bag when said tube is on the inside thereof be supplied therefrom. 4. A medicinal ed to dispense when not containing the liquid to bag having a body portion through the tube located on the outside of the bag.

8. A medicinal ba having a body portion of rubber provided with an outlet and a tube having a funnel-shaped end connected to the outside of the outlet, adapted to be carried within the body portion in its normal position when not containing the liquid to be supplied therefrom, and adaptthrough the tube located on the outside of the bag.
