In previous methods of making such tubperrenced in controlling the width and position of the stripe, and it is an object of the present invention toprovide an improved method of making striped tubing.

It will therefore be ap arent that I have developed a new and use method of making tubin which permits the correct positioning o the colored stripe at the desired osition in the blank, and that its size may readily controlled by the size of the inserted mass of glass (Fig. 7). Furthermore, if desired, a combination of stripes can be inserted in connection with the step shown in Fig. 7 instead of a single stripe.
