Patented June 24, 1930 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE GEORGE R. METCALF, JR., OF ERIE, PENNSYLVANIA, ASSIGNOR T0 ERIE MALLEABLE IRON COMPANY, OF ERIE, PENNSYLVANIA, A CORPORATION OF PENNSYLVANIA LIGHTING FIXTURE Application filed February 25, 1928. Serial No. 256,849.
The light fixture is particularly designed to provide a lighting scheme for power pole lines, one of the uses of such lighting system being as a protection in aviation. The invention involves forming such an integral fitting that will make the necessary mounting and connection for such a light. Details and features of the invention will appear from the specification and claims.
A preferred embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings as follows 2- Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of the mounting in place.

A globe 11 is secured in the head 6, the head and globe being ordinarily provided with screw threads by which the globe may be secured, the globe seating on the gasket 7 An opening 13 is arranged within the seat 7 through which the light wires may be led from the lamp socket and a conduit sleeve 14; is formed integrally with the head and extends therefrom. A high ring 6 is arrangedin the head around the opening to the conduit 14c and the head is provided with drain openings 6 and 6 to take care of any leakagefrom the connection withthe globe.

What I claim as new is 1. A lighting fixture comprising a lamp socket and globe-receiving head; a conduit sleeve extending from and integral with the head and having a projecting mounting ear thereon; and an outlet box on and integral with the sleeve, said socket, globe-receiving head, conduit sleeve and outlet box being in axial alinement. i
2. A lighting fixture comprising a lamp socket and globe-receiving head; a conduit sleeve extending from and integral with the head and having oppositely placed mounting ears thereon; and an outlet box on and integral with the sleeve, said socket, globe-receiving head conduit sleeve and outlet box being in axial alinement.
