While embodying all of the objects and advantages of the co-pending application, above mentioned, the present invention has for its further ob'ect to provide a still more its kind, which will dry the hair uniformly, and expedite the hair drying ope 'ation.

A segmental regulating plate 10 extends parallel to and 'frictionally engages the inner "margin of the regulating plate 10 is slidably mounted in a retaining guide 12, which is formed by upturning a projecting edge portion of the confining dome flange 6.
The regulating plate 10 is formed with a plurality of perforations '13, which are arranged in exact registration with the apertures 8 of that portion of the heat distributor 4 against which it is positioned. The horizon a1 conduit portion 18 further carries a slee e 20, which is mounted for 9 frictional rotatable adjustment on the f'ormer. The sleeve 20 is provided with a plurality of apertures 21, which are adapted for registration with correspondin apertures- 22 formed in the horizontal con mt portion 18. The,manual adjustment of the sleeve 20 upon the 'lconduit portion 18, respectively openseo'r closes the conduit portion apertures 22; which when open admit cold air to the drier to prevent excessive heating and establish proper drying temperature.
The front of the heated air supply conduit 3 is provided with a suitable regulating shutter element 23 through which ex cessively heated air may be dissipated if the 11 volume of same is greater than required to best effect the hair drying operation,
A hair drier, constructed in accordance with the resent invention, provides a most efficient device for distributing heated air to 1] all parts ofthe hair to dry same uniformly and to expedite the drying operation.
It will here be noted that while the present invention is primaril intended and designed for dryin hair, t e same is also admirably adaptab e for steaming the latter. The confining dome 1 is provlded with a steam inlet valve 24 and with a steam venting member 25. The valve 24 and venting member'25 are preferably diametrically op- 1 posed to each other and positioned adjacent to the lower end of confining dome 1.
