IMPROVEMENT IN LUBRICATORS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 175,570, dated April 4, 1876 application filed February 2, 1876.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, FREDERICK LUNKEN- HEIMER, of Cincinnati, Hamilton county and State of Ohio, have invented an Improvement in Lubricators, of which the following is a specification My invention is designed to be applied to lubricators hax'ing glass shells or cases and exterior perforated metallic shields; and my invention consists in fitting the shield to the case in such a manner that it'will revolve freely, for the purpose of facilitating the cleaning of the glass, the shield being also of such construction that aspaee will be left between itself and the glass, to permit the shield to materially give way under a blow without imparting any pressure to the glass.
The accompanying drawing is a vertical sec tion of a lubricator embodying my invention.

I claim- A lubricator having a glass shell and a perforated metallic shield or guard therefor, adapted to rotate about the glass, and separated therefrom by an annular space, substantially as and for the purpose specified.
