Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 174,942, dated March 21, 1876; application filed January 25, 1876.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, E. PARMLY BROWN, of Flushing, State of New York, have invented an Improved Dental Rubber Dam, of which the following is a specification:
The object of my invention is to produce a rubber dam for the use of dentists, which shall more nearly fit the mouth,and lie smoothly and more naturally thereinfvvith'out the puckeririg and wrinkling, and constant tendency to pull ofl' lrom the'tooth to which the present form of rubber dam is liable.- To this end I moldthe rubber in pieces of the proper size for use,
with a concave depression of an oval or other convenient shape, to suit the locations of the different teeth.
