My invention relates to a compound for boilers and the objects of my invention are: first, to provide a compound to be used in boilers that Will remove and dissolve the 5 scale; second, to provide a compound of this class that Will prevent the fluid in the boiler from foaming; third, to provide a compound of this class Which is harmless when used around and in connection With edible prod ucts; fourth, to provide a new and novel compound for boilers, and fifth, to provide a compound of this class Which is simple to compound, easy to apply and eiiicient in its action.
With these and other objects in View as Wlll appear hereinafter, my invention con sits of a novel compound as Will be hereinafter described in detail and particularly set forth in the appended claim.
My invention consists in its preferred form of the following ingredients, combined in the proportions stated, to Wit:
Pounds Silicate of soda 1200 Caustic soda 120 Extract of hemlock, containing tannic acid 1O Gum catechu 10 Sorghum molasses 12 lock containing tannic acid, ten pounds, gum
