This invention relates to circuit extension devices for the distribution. of electric current to various apparatus and more articularl to multiple attachment plugs designed a so t at the plu s may be connected end-onend to an inde nite number. I
The principal object of the invention is to provide a simple and practical form of mu tiple attachmentplugs arranged so that to they may conveniently and efiiciently be connected end-on-end for supplying the current to the various electrical apparatus.
Another object of the invention is to provide a set of multiple plugs of this character having a passage etween the two adjacent plugs communicating with a central longitudlnal core for the conductor topass through and be fastened to the terminals. 7 Another object of the invention is to provide a set of multiple plugs of this nature having an ofiset portion in the terminal blades near the base so the ends of the terminal blades oft-he adjacent plug can conveniently and resiliently be fastened to the said offset portions.
Another object of the invention is to provide a plug of this nature havin the fewest number of elements therein and eing easier to assemble and cheaper to manufacture than any of the other plugs of this nature on the market.
Other objects of this invention will in part be obvious and in part hereinafter pointed out. The invention accordingly consists in the features of construction, combinations of elements and arrangements of parts which will be exemplified in the construction hereinafter described and of which the scope of application will be indicated in the following manner. V

Referring now to the drawings in detail in which like reference characters denote like parts throughout the specification, numeral 1 designates the body of the attachment plugs made from an "insulating material, 2 the contact blades and 3 the receptacle in which to insert the contact blades of the forward plug.
The contact blades 3 as noted in Figure 2 W are all alike. They include a strai ht arm 4 having a hole 5 near the end whic coacts with a lug 6 formed in the ofiset portion 7 near the base. The base 8 of the blades are bent at right angles to the blades and form t a binding post 9 for the conductors 10 which lead to the various electrical apparatus,-
The contact blades are fastened to the plugs in a cavity 11 formed at the front-oil eachplug, by the rivets 12. respectively. When the plugs are joined together as noted in Fi ure 2 a complete cirto cular opening 17 wil be provided for the conductor 10 to enter, pass through a longitudinal opening 18 in the center of the plug and be fastened to the binding posts 9.
As indicated in Figure 2 the ofiset portion es of each contact blade is formed flush with the front of the plug or the rear of the adjacent plug. The reason "for this novel arrangementis that at this particular spot the vertical downward strain due to the weight so of the plugs and the attached conductors is imparted to the blades 2. But being bent as shown at 19 the odset portion is thereby reinforced and is thus capable of meeting the strain.
It will thus be seen that we have provided a simple and eflicient multiple attachment plug. The ends of the blades of one plug can be resiliently attached to the base of the blades of the adjoining plug with enough friction so as to prevent any accidental disconnection. It will be apparent that any number of plugs can be connected together and to the outlet or wall receptacle, leading current to difi'erent attachments within the capacity of the electrical equipment or receptacles and the fuses in the supply current thereof.
Having described our invention, we claim:
1. In a series of attachment plugs of the class described, each of said plugs consisting of a body member having a set of contact blades including binding posts, said contact blades having an ofiset portion near the base so the ends of the blades of the adjacent plug can resiliently contact therewith, said contact blades fastened to the body portion in a cavity by rivets, said offset portion being flush'wit the top edge of said cavity, a semi-circular groove at the base of each plug and a semi-circular groove formed in the wall of said cavity so that when two plugs are fastened together the said semi-circular grooves will form a circular opening for the conductor to enter, and a central longitudinal opening in each of said plugs for the said conductor to pass through and be connected to the binding posts of said contact blades. 7
2. In a series of attachment plugs of the class described, each of said plugs consisting of a body member of insulated material being provided with recesses and slots adapted for the insertion of contact blades leading thereto from the adjoining plug, a set of contact blades including binding posts in said plugs, said contact blades having an offset portion near the base, a projection in said offset portion, said projection connecting with a hole in the end of the cooperating contact blade of the adjacent plug, said contact blades fastened to the body portion in a cavity by rivets, said oilset portion being flush with the top edge of said cavity, a semi-circular groove at the base of each plug and a semi-circular groove formed in the wall of said cavity so that when two plugs are fastened together the said semicircular grooves will form a circular opening for the conductor to enter, and a longitudinal opening in each of said plu s for the said conductor to pass through andlie connected to the binding post to said contact blades, all of said contact blades directly connected together without any intervening contact elements.
3. As an article of manufacture an attachment plug of the class described for one or base of the blades so the ends of the contact blades of an adjoining plu can be resiliently engaged herewith, said ofiset portion'being almost flush with the top edge of saidcavity.
4. Claim 3 with the addition of, a semicircular groove at the base of the plug so that together the said when two plugs are fastened semi-circular groove will form an opening for theconductor to enter.
5. Claim 3 with the addition of, a semi-'cin cular groove formed in the wall of said cavity so that when two plugs are fastened together the said semi-circular groove will form an opening for the conductor to enter.
6. Claim 3 with the addition of, a semi-circular groove at the base of the plug and another semi-circular groove formed in the wall of said cavity. so that when two plugs are fastened together the said semi-circular grooves willforin a circular opening for the conductor to enter.-
7. In a series of attachment plugs of the class described, each of of a body member of insulated material, being provided with recesses and slots adapted for the insertion of contact blades leading thereto from the adjoining plug, a set of contact blades including binding posts in said plugs, said contact blades having an offset portion near the base, a projection in said oil'set portion, said projection co-acting with a hole in the end of the cooperating contact said plugs consisting blade of the adjacent plug, said contact blades I a cavity, said fastened to the body portion in the top edge tures.
