IMPROVEMENT IN STOOL-SEATS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent'No. 173,044, dated February 1, 1876; application filed September 30, 1874.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, R. WEsTBRooK MYERS,
of New York city, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Stool-Seats; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof,

This invention consists of a stool-seat constructedof two exterior layers of wood re-enforced by an intermediate one of an inferior or cheaper quality, and all glued together, substantially as hereinafter more fully set forth.
In the annexed drawing, ABA refer to three layers-of wood composing the stool-seat, the'middle layer B being of an inferior or cheaper quality, glued or otherwise united to- I .hard-wood seat, and at the same time as strong and bean tiful a seat obtained.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, isi As a new article of manufacture, a stoolseat consisting of two exterior layers of wood, A A, re-enforced by an intermediate layer, B,
of an inferior or cheaper quality, and all glued together, substantially as and for the purpose set forth.
