IMPROVEMENT IN GRlT-SEPARATORS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 173,013, dated February 1, 1876; application filed September 26, 1874.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known'that I, WALTER M. J AGKSQN, of Augusta, in the State of Georgia, have-invented a new and Improved Gleaner andSeparator for Grits, Grain, 850.; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, in which Figure l is a longitudinal sectional elevation, Fig. 2, a plan view, and Fig. 3 ,a detail View in section. V
The object of this invention is to clean and grade grits by the same operation, a uniformity of size enabling them to he more homogeneously cooked. v
The means by which I accomplish this will first be fully described, and then pointed out in the claim.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new is- The combination, with fan F, of screens B, chutes G G, and screens H I, all arranged in the same shaking-frame, substantially as and for the purpose specified.
