My invention relates to cabinet clothing rolls and more particularly to cabinets which serve as clothing retaining receptacles and also as package carriers for transportation; and the objectis to provide a cabinet for containing clothing and toilet articles and for serving as a dresser and which can be rolled up into a small package without damage for transportation and 0 which will retain all articles therein while being transported and which can be rolled into a small package. Other objects and advantages will be fully explained in the following description and the invention will be more particularly pointed out in the claims.
Reference is had to the accompanying drawings which form a part of this application.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the cabinet roll mounted.
Fig. 2 is a perspective View of the roll after it has been rolled for transportation.
Fig. 3 is a detail sectional View, illustrating the construction of certain parts.
Fig. 4 is a detail view of one corner shown in section.
Similar characters of reference are used to indicate the same parts throughout the several views.
The device is preferably made of cloth or canvas or ducking or other suitable material and the cloth, if desirable, may be made water proof. The back 1 extends the full length or height of the cabinet and the sides 2 and 3 extend the full length and may be integral with the back 1. A plurality of shelves 4 are sewed to the back 1 and to the sides 2 and 3. The shelves make compartments for clothing and other articles. The shelves 4 are strengthened and braced by strips 5 of wooden or other material which are removably mounted in pockets formed in the front and rear parts of the shelf cloth. The shelves 4- and the cabinet is braced at the ends of the shelves by strips 7 of wood or other material which are mounted in pockets 6. The shelf cloth is sewed to the sides and the pockets 6 are made of the same cloth which is sewed to the sides above and below the strips '4' which areremovably mounted in the pockets. 1
The shelves areinclined fromthe front to the back so that article: of clothing or I other things will not fall outof the cabinet. A pocket 12 is attached .to the inside of the back nearthe top for a mirror or other article. The upper shelfe may be used for i supporting toilet articles, as whenfa person is dressing or shaving. The compartments can all be closed by said flaps 8 and ,9 which I are flexible 'andconnected to the front part of the sides and may be lapped in front and; connected to each other by hooks 10., The flaps 8 and 9 can also beheld on the sides by the hooks 10. A pocket 15 is attached tothef back of the/ cabinet for convenience in carry ing smallarticles. One advantage of this pocket 15 is that articles that may have been left out of the ca-binetzwhen packing can be carried in this pocket. The upper part of. the cabinet may be closed by a piece of cloth llfwhich can be rolled. up when. the cabinet" is to be opened. For folding the strips 7 may be removed from their pockets and placed in the shelf 4, when the cabinet is to be rolled. The entire cabinet can be rolled into a package as shown in 2. Various changes may be made in the sizes proportions, construction and arrangements of the several parts without departing from my invention.
What I claim is I I 1. A cabinet clothing roll' comprlsing a back composed of flexible material and sides of, flexible material attached thereto, a plurality of shelves of flexiblematerial attached to said sides and back and forming compartments, rigid braces for the front and back edges of said shelves, removable means for bracing the side edges of said shelves, and flexible flaps attached to said sides for closing said compartments.

A cabinet clothing roll comprising a back composed of flexible material and sides of flexible material attached thereto, a plurality of shelves of flexible material attached to said sides and back, said shelves having pockets in the side and front and back edges, removable strips of bracing material mounted in said pockets, and flaps of flexible material attached to said sides for closing the front of said roll.
30A cabinet clothing roll comprising a back composed of flexible material and sides of flexible material attached thereto, and flexible flaps attached to the front edges of said sides for closing the front of the cabinet, a plurality of shelves of flexible material attached to said sides and back, said shelves having pockets in their front and back and side edges, means for attaching said pockets to the sides of said roll, bracing strips of Wood mounted in said front and back pockets, and bracing strips of wood mounted in'said side pockets and removable therefrom when said cabinet is to be rolled.
4:. A cabinet clothing roll comprising a.
back composed of flexible material and sides of flexible material attached thereto, a plurality of shelves of flexible material attached to said sides and back, means for bracing the front'and' back edges of said shelves, said shelves having pockets on their side edges attached to the sides of said cabinet, remova ble bracing strips mounted in said pockets,
