IMPROVEMENT IN EXTENSION-LADDERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 72,595, dated January 25, 1876; application filed 1 December 21, 1875.
To (all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ERNEST S. WEBSTER, of Lake City, in the county of \Vabasha and State of Minnesota, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Extension and Step Ladders; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description of the same, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings and to the letters of reference marked thereon.
1n the accompanying drawing, Figure 1 shows three sections of a ladder connected by lever-hooks I b, stationary hooks a, and rod cl, supported by booksvc c and round d, forming a very cheap, simple, and reliable mode of constructing an extension-latter of any desired length, which may be readily adjusted by moving levers b b.
Fig. 2 is a diagram of the three sections A B 0, formed into a' convenient step-ladforjoining the sections of extension-ladders,
substantially as herein set forth.
