GAME DEVICE.

This invention relates to a game and aims ,7 to provide a device of this character in which the results are dependent upon the skill of the person. playing the same and in which these results will be accurately registered, aside from the fact that by means of the present invention a game is furnished which will offer intriguing features of play.

A further object of the invention is that of furnishing a device of this character, the parts of which are relatively few in number and simple and rugged in construction, these parts being capable of assemblage by unskilled labor to provide a device operating over long periods of time with freedom from mechanical or electrical difliculties.

An additional object is that of furnishing a game with which there will be combined, preferably, a registering mechanism and the 20 parts of the game being so constructed that under all proper conditions the registering mechanism will function with accuracy to indicate the results obtained.

With these and additional objects in mind reference is had to the attached sheet of drawings illustrating one practical embodiment of the invention and in which Fig. 1 is a fragmentary plan view of my improved game board.

Fig. 2 is a bottom plan view of the'device shown in Fig. 1.

Fig. 4 is a wiring diagram of the board and associated annunciator and source of electricity.

In the illustrated embodiment characterizing this invention there is shown a supporting panel or board 5 of insulating material suitably mounted in a horizontal position and having 1 aplate of conducting material 6 mounted on the upper surface thereof secured by screws or other suitable fastening elements 7. The plate 6 is formed with a plurality of spaced apertures 8 and a'portion of the plate surrounding each aperture is struck down or otherwise formed to provide a countersunk depression 9.

Contact plug members A are mounted in the apertures 8, said members comprising an insulating washer 10 seating against the lower surface of plate 6, an insulating washer 11 seating in the countersunk portion 8 and contact member 12 mounted on washer 11. Said cured together and to the plate 6 by bolts 13 members 10, 11, and 12, are preferably seand nuts 14, and when so positioned these elements form the composite contact member.

Each washer 1O nut 14 and depending portion of the bolt 13 is substantially concealed in one of a series of apertures 15 formed in the panel or board 5, waich are each of sufficient diameter to conveniently receive said parts. Each of said apertures 15 registers with a corresponding aperture 8 in the contact plate 6. i 1 ow with a view to providing means whereby the game-piece or coin will always establish electrical contact when in proper condition, the surface of the contact plate 6 surrounding each of the plugs A is formed with i s of spaced annular beads or ridges 16 pro ect g slightly above the plane surface of the plate and likewise forming a correspending that irrespective of whether the game piece 18 presents an even or uneven surface, it will effect closing of the electrical circuit when resting in bridging position with respect to the plate 6 and plug A.

It will thus be seen that the game board proper forming the subject matter of this lnen'iber 5, contact plate 6, and contact plugs A, in addition to the annunciator and electrical circuit, which latter will now be traced.

Starting from source of energy 19 an electrical conductor 20 extends to and around the bolt 13 in contact therewith, as at 21, secured beneath nut 1-1, and similarly secured to each of the bolts 13 and terminating as at 22, conductor 23 extends from the plate 5 to the enunciator 24: and a conductor 25 has its ends connected to the source of energy and enunciator respectively, thus completing the circuit.

It will thus be observed that normally the circuit is open, but when a game piece of conducting material 18, such as a penny, is

brought to rest with a portion resting on the I contact late 6 and a portion resting on the contact the circuit will be completed from the source of energy 19, through conductor 20, contacts A, game piece 18, plate 5, conductor 23, annunciator 24, conductor 25, and back to source of energy 19. Therefore, whenever. the game piece 18 is thus positioned to bridge any one of the contacts A and the contact 5 the annunciator will be energized and give the proper signal, as will be clearly understood without further description.

Having thus described my invention, What I desire protected by Letters Patent is as set forth in the following claims:

A game target of the character described comprising a horizontal panel of insulating material, a contact plate of conductive material mounted on said panel having a plurality of spaced apertures and formed adjacent and surrounding said apertures With aseries of annular beads, an insulated contact plug mounted in each of said apertures, said plate receiving a "1116 piece of conductive material to bridge said contacts, said beads supporting said game piece sufficiently above the surface of the plate to etlect closin of the electrical circuit irr wpective Whether the game piece is formed with an even or uneven surface.

A game target or board of the character described con'iprising a t el of ii lating material, a contact plate, or conductive material, mounted on said panel and having a plurality of spaced apertures, a series of annular beads forming a part of said plate and concentrically disposed With reference to sald apertures, said beads pr0]ect1ng above the plane surface of the plate, an insulated contact plug mounted in each of said apertures and supported by said plate, and a game piece of conductive material adapted to bridge said contacts, said beads adapted to support said game piece sufficiently above the surface of the plate to effect closing of the electrical circuit irrespective of Whether the game piece is formed with an even or uneve surface.
