' UN H A amass CIGARETTE nisrnnsnn.
Application filed November rettes in which a mechanism is mounted which expels these clgarettes one at 2.1311118 intothe palm of the hand.
Anotherobject of this invention is to pro vide a container having a door thereon on which a mechanism is mounted for expelling these cigarettes one at a time.
Still another object of this invention is to provide a cigarette dispenser. halving the form of a container and a pivoted. door on which a mechanism is mounted for expelling the cigarettes'one at'a time and agitating the remainder of the cigarettes so that they can: be easily received by the mechanism at a successive instance.
The above and other 'objectswill become apparent in the description below, inwhichcharacters of reference refer to like-named parts in the drawing. I
Referring briefly tothe drawing, Figure 1 is a longitudinal sectional elevational' view through the disnensed'showing a cigarette p v kicker legs are adapted to lift the cigarettes resting in the expeller saddle. J
Figure 2 15 a front elevational View of Flg- Figure 3 isa longitudinal sectionalelevational view similar to Figure 1, showing the 'expeller device in operative position.
Figure 4 is a fragmentary top plan yiew of thedevice with the cover. removed therefrom to illustrate the construction thereof.
Referring in detail to the drawing, the nuineral indicates the base of a container.
This base has a rear end wall 11 and side walls 12 and 13which join the end wall. The
side walls have longitudinal channels 14; formed in their ad acent faces, wh ch serve as guides for ridges 15 which project from the sides of a cover 16. This cover. is de signed to close the container and keep the cigarettes contained therein in a pure, fresh, 7
and wholesome condition/ The opposite end portion of the container is also closed by a structure whichconsists of a pair of bars 17 i and 18 in which channels are formed... These channels in the bars 17 and '18, together with channels which are formed in the side walls 12 and 12, receive the edges of a transparent glass plate 19 through which the interior chamber 20 of the container may be sighted. An inclined'table 21 is mounted within the container and serves as a support for a number of cigarettes 22 which normally roll or '1 arettes 01 even more.

slide to the lowermost; position onthis table. Beneath the bar l8 a rectangular open space 1 is-formedin this particular endwall and this space is normally closed by a hangingpiw oted door '23.: This door has its greater 7 weight below its pins 24. and 25.
The door freely hangs in verticalposition and closes the rectangular opening-located n this end'wall and aidsin sealing the/dis pen'ser when the same is, not in use. On the 1 m pivotal point, located on the V innerface of the door 23 a semi circular eX- peller block 26 is mounted. This eXpeller' block has'a curved saddle 27 formed at its and rearrange or agitate the'same as aciga- The container is adapted to expel cigarettes one ata time from the compartment'20. This compartment may receive a'package of 01grette is being expelled. l An inclined runway These cigarettes rest upon'the inclined table21 and roll downthis a table to its lowermost position. The tapering mouth formed between the lower end of the table and the bar 18 permits-the dropping of one cigarette into the curved saddle 27 which hangs, and is mounted, on the side of the door 23. By causing the fingers to contactv with the door 23 below its pivotal .point and urging the lower end of this door inwardly with the aid of-the fingers, in such manner that the palm ofthe hand is up turned, the door is rotated 90 degrees and'this changes the position of the saddle 27 so that it then assumes a position'at the side of the cigarette and'causes the latter. to roll down the incline 31- on the door and 'fall'into the palm of the hand. During the time thatthis movement is occurring, the kicker legs 28 and 29 are raised above thesurface of the inclined table. and these kicker legslift andv gentlya-gi'tate the cigarettes at the lower end of-the inclined table and so rearrange the same that upon the next rotating of the door 23 one cigarettewill surely be in-apositlon'to 7 fall from'the table into the saddle.
It is to be noted that certain changesin form and construction may be made without I departing from the spirit and scope ofth e invention. a v
