This invention relates to mops and more particularly to mop mounting means. Numerous forms of mop mountings have been heretofore proposed, but these have not proven entirely satisfactory, they being more or less complicatedsin their construction,

' expensive, and so constructed that the mop fabric tends to loosen fromthe mop head,

when the latter is usage. D

It is accordingly an ob ect of this IHVQII- subjected to its ordinary ,tion to overcome the abovementioned difiicult-ies in mops of the-.abovetype; and to provide simple and improved means for,

more firmly securing the mop fabric to the mop head.

Other objects and advantages appear from the following description of an illustrated embodiment of the present invention.

I claim as nay-invention:

' 1. A mop head comprising a handle socket,

a transverse bar{integral therewith, said socket 'beingintermediate ofthe ends thereof, sald bar havmg-a'g'roove co-extensive therewith and [apertures spaced along the lengththereof, a mop fabric extending along said bar, and fastening meansffextending through. saidapertures and fabric and'acting V to hold said fabric against said groove.

In a mop, ahandle socket, a transverse bar integral therewith, said bar being notched at its ends, a mop fabric extending I longitudinallyaround lateral 'faces' of said i bar and engaged in said notches, and means I I t'd aid said notches in retaining said fabric on said bzpr. 7 I i I i 3.
