IMPROVEMENT IN RUNNING-GEAR FOR VEHICLES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 17 1,211, dated December 21, 1875; application filed August 16, 1875.,
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EZRA BooTH, of Columbus, in the county ofFranklin and State of Ohio, have invented certain Improvements in Running-Gear for Vehicles,of which the following is a specification:
My invention relates to runninggear for vehicles; and consists in making the side bars and front bar or bolster in one continuous piece, thus avoiding joints, which are liable to get loose and out of order, and making a much neater and more lasting arrangement.
The drawing represents a top or plan view of a buggy, with the bed andwheels removed.
B is the back axle; A, the front axle; (J, the fifth-wheel, and D a strip of wood bent around, so as to form the bolster and side bars. In front it rests upon the fifth-wheel, and behind directly on the back axle at d d.
