Spring 32 yieldingly holds catches or hasps 30 in engagement with abutments 31'and locks the door closed against a person, in front of the partition.
To automatically return door 17 to position To open door 17 it is necessary to step on lever .and force the end thereof to which connection 27 is attached, downward. The initial downward movement of said end of lever 25 turns levers 28 on pivot or fulcrums 29, to release catches or hasps 30 from abutments 81, and continued downward. ll'lOVcIIlGllll of said end moves the door 1? down, causing it to slide in runways 18.
On releasing lever 25 from its operated position the weights 38 automatically move door 1? and the ends of lever 25, up, closing aperture 16 and permitting spring 32 to turn levers 28 and cause catches or hasps 30 to engage with the immovable abutments 31, and lock said door closed.
