My invention relates to couplings, more particularly to coupling' means for tools such as braces andrbits or the like, and the objects of my invention-are: first, to provide a device of this classin which the tool may be easily and quickly clamped by the tool coupling and easily and quickly released thereby; second, to provide a device ofthis class in which the parts are reduced toav minimum and yet provide a rigid, strongand substantial coupling; third, to provide a device of this class in which the tool will not loosen but will hold the tool rigidly ,andin alinement even when roughly used; fourth, to provide a device of this class which provides a positive gripon'the tool; fifth, to provide a tool coupling of this class in which the parts may be made small enough so that it can readily follow anextensiondrill of ordinary size, and sixth, to providea device of this class which is economical of lconstruction, sturdy, durable, and which will. not

With these and other objects in view, as will appear hereinafter, myinvention con sists of certain novel features of construe tion,rcombination and arrangement of parts and portions, as will be hereinafter described in detail Vand particularly set forth in the appended claims, reference being 'had' to the accompanying drawingsl and tothe characters of reference thereon, which form a part of this application, in which:
