i Application ilcd February My invention relates to that class of supports for drawerslargely used in sectional metal filing cases wherein the drawer is sup ported on roller-supported extension slides arranged to support the [drawer while permitting its Withdrawal to nearly the front line of the casing.' The object`l of my inventionis tozprovide an improved drawersup-l port of this type which shall be compact and In the drawing Figure' 1 is a central l longitudinal section` of a sectional filing case unit to which my invention is .shown applied, the drawer and parts beyond the'plane of .thesection being shown in elevation; F 2 is a perspective ofthe drawer support members alone; and Fig. 3 is a transverse section of the dsupport throughone pair of d0uvble rollers -near the center of one ofthe pair of intermediate. extension members of the same. f The same reference characters indicate the same parts in all the figures of the drawing.
As in other devices of this character the support comprises two counterpart sets of three members each, one setlatfeach side `of the dra-wer. Each setA includes a stationary trackimember' secured to the inside face of the adjacent casing, a loating intermediate extension member,` and a drawer member secured to thefdrawerand movable relatively to the floating member. In my improved form of` a sheet-metal. strip 1 formed with vVertical outer portions 2-2 separated by a central rib 3, and havingupper and lower horizontal llanges, marked 4e and 5, respectively. The central ribs of the two track 4members affords spacing surfaces for guidiing the adjacent faces of the floating members later to be described with minimum frictional contact, and the upper and lower anges provide track)y surfaces for thelrol1 able manner,l asby' spotwelding.

Adjacent the center, each floating memberV is provided wit-lr. an upper intermediate roller 9 arranged to cooperate with the upper Hang'e lof the track member, and a lower intermediate roller 10. which extends.
through an opening. cut in the bottom flange of the`f1oating mem-ber to permit it to cooper'- ate with the-lower ilange 5 of the station-- ary track member. This lower intermediate roller is loosely mdunted .to permit it to automatically adjust` itself to slight vari-.. ations in the faces of'the track members and shift slightly without binding under the changing` stresses to which it is subjectedI as .the drawer is moved out and in. At the rear end of each Heating member is arranged an upper rear roller 11 which is so positioned as to cooperate with the upper flange 4 of the track member.- f
-The rails l2 which support the .drawer are in the present instances strips of channel iron secured to the outer face ofthe drawer in any suitablemanner, as byspot welding. The
upper and lower flanges of the rails are ar ranged to passbetween thepairs of-rollers 9 and' 10, the lower vflanges resting upon the front rollers 8 and the upper'flanges being arranged to cooperate with the upper rollers 11 in the operation of the drawer.
Si'litably-positioned stops are provided to limit the movements of the parts. To'this end, the floating frame consistmg-of the meme bers 6 and cross-bars 7 is provided withlaterally extending blocks 6a secured to the', bottom'of the opposite flanges of the members 6 and arranged to'bring up at theV limit of outward movement of the frame against lugsla extending: inwardly from thev bottom lange of the stationary track. .The drawer is provided with' a buffer 7l arranged in' an l open-front box 7 which is secured` tothe under face of the bottom wall of the drawer,
