- the oscillatory circuit is adjusted to the frequency of the system and thus the current flowing through the oscillatory circuit is gradually weakened.
- the oscillatory circuit itself may then be ultimately disconnected by opening a switch.
- the tuning of the oscillatory circuits 7 and 8 may be effected for instance by means of the adjustment of control levers 17 and 18 respectively on taps 15 and 16 which lead to the inductance coils contained in these circuits.
