What is claimed is 1. In combination with a Window having a groove in its side edge and a casing having a wmclow guide, a substantially U-shaped member 111 said groove havlng outwardly extending flanges disposed over and spaced from the said side edge of the window, curved plate springs in the U-shaped member havin its free edges bearing against the bottom or the member, bolts extending through the springs and member and through the window sides so as to be accessible for adjustment, a member having a base engaged with the bottom of the guide and having inturned sides, said flanges of the first member being received between the base and inturned sides of the second member, said second member having a central longitudinal hollow inwardly extending bead, a. packing strip in the bead engagedwith the bottom of the guide, and fasteners extending through the bead and into the casing.
In combination with a window having a groove in its side edge and a 'asing having a window guide, a substantially U-shaped member in said groove having outwardly extending flanges disposed over and spaced from the said side edge of the window, spring means to secure said member to the window and to urge the same toward the member, a member having a base engaged with the bottom of the guide and having inturned sides, said flanges of the first member being received between the base and inturned sides of the second member, said second member having a central longitudinal hollow inwardly extending head, a packing strip in the bead engaged with the bottom of the guide, and fasteners extending through the bead and into the casing.
3. In combination with a. window having a groove in its side edge and a casing havin a window guide, a substantially U-shaped member in said groove having outwardly extending flanges disposed over and spaced from the said side edge of the window, a second member having a base secured to the bottom of the guide and having inturned sides, said flanges of the first member being received between the base and inturned sides of the second member, and spring means to tension the first member to urge same toward the window thereby to press the flanges of the first member against the inturned sides of the second member.
1. In combination with a window having a groove in its side edge and a casing having a window guide, a substantially U-shaped member in said groove having outwardly extending flanges disposed over and spaced from the said side edge of the window, a second member having a base secured to the bottom of the guide and having inturned sides, said flanges of the first member being received between the base and inturned sides of the second member, spring means to tension the first member to urge same toward the window thereliiy to press the flanges ol' the lirst member against the inturned sides of the second member, and means to secure the base of the second member to the bottom of the guide disposed centrally of the width of the second member so as to leave the sides of the base and the inturned portions thereof tree for flexing movements.
5. In combination with a window and its guide, a member having a base and inturned sides, means to secure the base to the guide so as to leave the inturned sides thereof free for flexing movements, said window having a grooved side edge, a second member in the groove having portions disposed without the groove and received between said base and the inturned sides of the first member, and spring means in the roove to tension the second member thereby to hold its said portions against the inturned sides of the first member.
6. In combination with a window and its guide, a member secured to the guide, said window having a groove in its outer side edge, a second member, said members having slidable interengaging portions, means in the groove to tension the second member thereby to hold said inter-engaging means under tension, and means operable from the inner side edge of the window to adjust the tension of said tensioning means.
In testimony whereof I aflix my signature.
