LUBRIGATING APPARATUS.-
Ap'pIication filed December 3, 1925, Serial Ne. 73,011, and'in Australia November 2, 1925.
This invention relates to lubricating apparatus but more especially refers to the lubrication of axles or the ournals of wheels of any description and it has for its object the provision of means for ensuring that the journal or axle be constantly supplied with lubricant under all conditions as long as there is any lubricant in the well, thus preventing hot boxes and torn brasses.
A further object is to provide an apparatus for this purpose which shall be simple and capable of easy installation and which shall have few parts and a long life.
Accordingly there is provided a series of rollers supported centrally below the journal or axle in such a manner as to press continually against it. The rollers which are mounted upon a spindle so that they may revolve with the journal consist of spaced discs undercut so as to leave a thin rim and a thin web. They dip into the'oil in the reservoir and as they revolve they throw the oil outwards and upwards onto the journal in a continuous stream.
In the drawings a lubricator constructed according to this invention and fitted to a railway box of a well known type is shown.

The lubricating device consists of a series of rollers T mounted on or formed integral- With a spindle 8 which runs in bearings 9.
