IMPROVEMENT IN PEKSSARIES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 168,71] dated October 11, 1875; application led September 16, 1875.
To all 'whom it 'may concern:
Be it known that I, THiLo BRAUNS, of Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Intra-Uterine Adjusters, as fully set forth in the following specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.
The nature of my invention relates to the construction of an instrument specially and particularlydesigned to be used for the straightening and curingof displacements ofthe uterus. It consists of a bail orring,in one end of which is loosely pivoted a tongue or stem actuated by a spring, as and for the purpose hereinafter more fully set forth.
Figure 1 is a partial section of the female body, with the device in position. Fig. 2 is a perspective View of the device.
In the drawing, A represents the bail or ring of my improved instrument, in one end of which is pivoted a stem, B, which has an enlarged base, C, the stem being of any length required. D. is a rubber cord or spring passing through the base C, its ends `being securedl in the side bars of the bail A.
Vadjusted so as to be applicable in cases of all displacements of the uterus.
What I claim as my invention is- The combination ofthe bail or ring A, stem B, and enlarged base C, provided with a suitable spring, substantially as and for the purpose set forth.
