A picture, hanger of the above men-ened character will at a ll' times be. positive and eflicient in supporting :L pictureor the like on a wall or other suitable support; and it willonly be necessary to employ one bracket tor attachi'ng the rod l to the wall, thereby preventing any unnecessary de'ftcing of the wall. F urtherm'ore, due to its" Simplicity, the'adjustmentof the picture to any desi'rd angle may be a'ttained without' necessitating the removal'of the picture from the hanger. While I have` shown the; prefe'rred` cirrbodiment of my i'nventi`on,' it is to be understood that various changes in' the size, shape and arrangement of parts may be resorted to, without departing from the spirit of the invention and the scope of the appen'ded claims. f i

Having thus described' the invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure' by 'Letters Patent is 1. members carred by the lower portion of a' picture With which said hooks engage, resilent means encrclng the vertical rod for dispostion between the base portons of said nvrted U-shaped members to urge the unit in postve engagementwith the respective 'eye members and suspension means earried by the forwardly extendng arm for 'attachment to the Upward portion of the picture.
