Description

I July 3, 1928. 1,676,012
M. FASCETTA ANTI-SEPTIC CONTAINER FOR BARBERS TOOLS Filed Feb. 21, 1928 A TTORNEY PATENT OFFICE.
MICHAEL FASCETTA, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
ANTISEPTIC CONTAINER FOR BARBERS TOOLS.
Application filed February 21, 1828.
My invention relates to improvements in containers, particularly to a container for barber's tools, and it is the principal object of my invention to provide a container of this character in which a plurality of tools is held separated in different chambers, always handy for instant selection and use, whereby this container is equipped with suitable and removable means for allowing a I0 ready sterilization of the tools before and after their use.
Another object of my invention is the provision of a container of this type which may readily be attached to a support and removed therefrom, and which carries a powder box allowing a convenient use of the powder after shaving, etc.
A further object of my invention is the provision of a container for barber-s tools of simple and inexpensive construction having its outer surface enameled and preferably smooth so as to make the box absolutely sanitary.
A still further object of my invention is the provision of a container for barbers tools partitioned off into a plurality of compartments, the nest of partitions removably guided between suitable guides.
These and other objects of my invention so will become more fully apparent as the description thereof proceeds, and will then be specifically defined in the appended claims In the accompanying drawing forming a material part of this disclosure:
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a container constructed according to my invention.
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the nested, partitioned inner tool chamber.
As illustrated, the container has the form of an oblong box surrounded by a bead 11 or the like near its upper end adapted to support a cover 12 when placed upon the box.
The box may be made of any suitable material and is preferably enameled on its outer face to present a perfect smooth surface without any depressions, crevices or the like, so as to make it perfectly sanitary.
At its rear face the box or container 10 is equipped with a bracket 13 having two parallel outstanding arms 14, 15 spaced from each other, the lower of which, 14, allows the passage from below of a screw 16 or the like carrying at its upper end a clamp face plate 17 or the like, while its lower end below arm 14 carries an operating thumb or wing- Serial No. 256,029.
nut 18 so that by the proper operation thereof the box 10 may be suit-ably clamped to any convenient support as for instance to a table, shelf, or the like.
The interior of the box is divided by a plurality of cross-partitions 19 and a longitudinally extending partition 20 intersecting the cross partitions in approximately their middle into a plurality of nested compartments 21 adapted for the reception of barbers tools, such as for instance razors, scissors, or the like, and the length-partition 20 ends before the opposite end wall to form with the same and the last of the cross partitions a larger chamber 22 for tissue papers, napkins or the like.
At one of its outer end walls a pair of superposed clamps or clips 23, 24, are provided suitably spaced from each other and adapted to receive a glass-tube 25 or the like having an upper, outwardly flaring mouth 26 supporting the tube vertically on upper clamp 24.
This tube is intended for the reception of a sterilizing fluid or the like.
On the opposite end wall the box 10, carries a powder box 27 adapted to be attached to the box by means of a sleeve 28 into which engages the upper end of a clip 29 secured at its lower end to the end wall of the box by any suitable means.
Within the box suitable guides are arranged between which the nest of partition walls is slidably engaged to make the same readily removable from the box for cleaning and other purposes.
It will be clear that the chambers 21, 22 may also be filled with a sterilizing liquid if so desired so that the razor blades or other tools are permanently submerged therein.
The size of the box is appropriately selected so that for instance the tool handles project therefrom and can conveniently be grasped.
It will be understood that I have shown and described as an example of the many ways to practically construct my tool box, the preferred form thereof only, and that I may make such changes in the general arrangement and in the construction of the minor details thereof, as come within the scope of the appended claims without departure from the invention.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
, 1. Container for barbers tools comprising a casing, a means for securing the casing to a support, a plurality of nested compartments formed in said casing, a means for allowing a sterilizing of said tools, and a means containing powder.
2. Antiseptic container for barbers implements comprising an oblong casing, a means for securely clamping said container to a support, a plurality of cross-partitions and a longitudinally extending partition intersecting' said cross-partitions to form a plurality of nested compartments in said casing for the reception of the implements, a tube containing an antiseptic fluid, means for holding said tube to said container, a powder box,
and a means for holding said powder box on said container.
3. In a container of the class described a plurality of removable partitions in said container to form a plurality of nested compartments, for the reception of barbers tools, one compartment larger than the rest of them. for the reception of napkins, tissue paper, and other articles used in the trade, a means for allowing a sterilizingof the tools removably held in said container,-a powder container also removably held to said container, and a means for clamping the container to a support.
4. In a container of the class described,
an oblong box, a meansfor clamping the same to a. support, a bead thereon, acover therefor adapted to rest on said bead when closed, a pair of clamp bands at one end wall of said container superposed in spaced relation, a glass tube containing an antiseptic fluid, and having its upper flaring mouth section on the upper of said clamp bands and a powder box on the opposite end wall of said container.
5. Ina container of the class described, an oblong enameled box, a cover therefor, a clamping means on the side of said box for clamping the same to a support, a plurality of partitions therein to "form a nest of compartments to hold barber's tools projecting with their handles above'the upper margin of said container, a means removably held to one end wall of the container for con taining an antiseptic: fluid, a clip secured to the other end wall of said container, the upper end spaced from said container, :1 powder box, anda sleeve on said box adapted to receive the spaced end of said clip for MICHAEL FASGETTA.
