A tuyere of hollow wall construction with water circulating passage therein has been known to the public. Atuyere of this type is made as one body and a pipe is inserted in the interior of the wall so as to lead cooling water to the innermost portion of the interior, which portion is under the efiect of the highest temperature so that the inner part of the tuyere is injured quickly by heat notwithstanding the remaining partis not" so much injured. Since the pipe is quickly corrodeddue to'galvanic action, it requires frequent replacement by a new one. In this invention, the inner end part of a tuyere is made separable from the main part of the same but is firmly joined to the latter by means of bolts, and the interior of the wall is partitioned with longitudinal walls, so that the cooling water which is tuyere is directly led to the inner end part of the tuyere and after circulating in this part, the water passes out of the tuyere through the interior of the main part of the same.

A longitudinal partition ll is provided in the interior of the wall of the inner portion 2, and the hole 10 is perforated in the bottom of the wall at theroot of the partition 11. Another hole 12 is perforated in the bottom of the wall at a symmetrical-position relative to the partition 11,- and this the water has circulated in the interior of the portion 1, it flows out of the tuyere through the hole 14, as shown by the arrows Fig. 1. In this manner the cooling water first circulates in the interior of the portion 2, and thereafter circulates in the interior of the portion 1.
According to my invention, the inner-end part of a tuyere is made se arate from-the main part of the same and 1s cooled by the cooling water in order to prevent overheating of this portion of the tuyere. It requires no pipe 1n the interior of the wall, and the inner end part only need be replaced with new one when the same is injured, so that the construction is very economical.
What I claim is:
