The outer portion of this frame has secured therein a suitable si 11 19. Designed to rest on the horizontal anges provided on the outer and widened portion of the sup ort there is the sole and heel portions of a ollow transparent body 20. The body in the showing of the drawings is in the form of a shoe. The toe portion ofthis shoe is passed through an arched stra 21 whose ends are secured to the sides the widened portion of the body. This strap is provided with a lurality of apertures 22.

Arising from t e support, at the juncture of the widened outer portion and the parallel arms thereof, there is a tubularstandard 23. This standard, onits upper end, is formed or otherwise provided with what I will term a flan over the top of t e body 1. Passing through the flange of the cap member 24 there are headed threaded elements 25, and these elements are received between oustanding flanges 26 on the up er portion of the hol-v low and transparent ody 20.

The top of the cap member 24 has secured upon its lower face a disc 27 which is re-. ceived in the open top ortion of the transparent body and w ich snugly contacts with the inner wall thereof. The disc has a centrally depending part 28 in which is screwed the base of a lamp bulb 29.

Fixed in the top of the toeportion oi the hollow trans arent body 20 there is-a clip or .bracket 30 t at engages with the base rtion of a second bulb31. .The wires. om both of the bulbs are suitablyencased, the wires from the bulb 31 being directed along the base and bottomand the rear portion of r the hollow body 20 and from thence being directed to the tubularfstandard 23 between the parallel arms 5 of the support, while the encased wires for the bulb 29 .passthrough a suitable opening in the disc 27 and arealso directed through the tubular sup ort 23 and between the parallel arms 5 of t a support. Of course, the wires assthrough an openin in the wall 20 an are connectedto suitable plugs which are screwedin wall'sockets.

From the foregoin description when read in connection with t e accompanying drawings, it will be seen that we have provided a sign which will effectively attract attention to theparticulai' class of goods sold in a store. or the particular class of goods repaired in the store or shop. The sup ort is raced in a manner that will sustainthe same in a horizontal position and will prevent its. displacement or ,dislod ent re gardless of weather conditions. he ca 24 effectively protects the interior of the ho low itranesparent body 20, and as previously stat the frame for the sign 19 reinforces the support. Therays of light from both of the bulbs will pass through the widened or spread outer portion of the support on which the transparent body rests so that the sign,19v will have both of its sides or faces illuminated.

Having described the. claim is: ,7 i Y 1. A sign designed to be supported on the front of a store or the like, comprising, in combination, a horizontal member having its inner end fixed and its outer rtion invention, what we spread apart to widen the same, sai member having an outer continuous upstanding flange, a transverse apnrtured strapliaving its ends secured to. the forward portion of the member, a transparent body resting on the spread portion of the member engaged by the strap, and said flange, means at the rear" of the spread portion of the member engaging the top of the transparent body and closing the same and means for illuminating the transparentbody.

A sign designed to he supported on the front of a store or the. like, comprising, in combination, a horizontal member having its" inner end fixed and its outer portion spread apart to widen the same, said member having an outer continuous upstanding ilange, a transverse apertured strap havin its endssecured to the forwardportion o themember, a trt bod resting on rear. of the spread rtion of the member engaging thetop o the transparent body andclosing the same, means for illuminating the transparent-body, a truss frame cen trally beneath-and bracing the member and a sign carried by the truss frame.

A sign for the urpose setyforth, comprising a support w ich includes, an angle 11'011 centrally rounded upon itself havin its sides continued ,rearwardly in space relation and from thence broughtv partly together and extended in parallelism, ears on the last mentionedlarms of the members for the reception of securing elements, spacing means between the parallel arms of the member, an apertured strap having its ends secured to the outer and spread portion of the member, a transparent body engaged formed to portray a class of goods having its base port-ion received in the spread portion of the angle member and engaged by the larly arranged flanged cap to be received over the open top of the transparentbody,

adjustable means passing through the flange of the cap and contacting with the body, a
