This invention relates to a new and useful ,device in the nature of a shaving brush, such as used by men to lather the face prior to shaving. The invention relates particularly to a shaving brush adapted to hold the shaving cream and a means of forcing ther shaving cream into the bristles lof the shaving brush as may be desired. The object of the invention lis to `provide a shaving brush of novel construction and arrangement of parts, hereinafter more fully described, claimed and illustrated in the accompanying drawing. Y.

As here embodied my improved shaving brush comprises bristles 10, such as commonly used for shaving brushes. The bristles 10, are attached to the holder 11, which may be of rubber, or the like. The bristles 10 being molded to and extended therefrom. The holder 11, is of ring shaped construction, and is attached to the spindle 13, being molded thereto. The spindle 12, is of hollow construction, provided with a cavity 13, and an opening 14, or aperture, intercommunicative with the cavity 13 and the central portion of the above mentioned bristles 10. The handle member 15, may be of any suitable contour, adapted to readily be held in the hand. The handle member 15, is of hollow construction, provided with the cavity 16. The cavity 16, has formed or cut therein threads 17, adapted to receive the threaded portion 18 of the above mentionedspindle 12.

The above describedl construction being such as will permit the cavity 16 of the holder member 15 to lbe filled with shaving cream, and which will permit the said shaving cream to be forced through the cavity 13, and through the opening 14, into the bristles 10, when the spindle 12 is screwed into the holder member 15.

In Fig. 3 of the accompanying drawing, I have shown the handle member 15, somewhat extended. The handle member 15, is provided -with a' second cavity 20, having the holder 11,

The expansiony spring 25 is an axialaperture formed on` `,the i inwardly extended'portion 22. The ejector member 23, 1s provided with an axial aperture 27, adapted to slidably receive the inner ejector member 28. The inner ejector member 28, is provided with an extended element 29,'of somewhat smaller diameter, f

adapted to be extended slightly through an axial aperture formed in the ejector mem-v ber 23. The expansion spring 30, is positioned in the axial aperture 27 of the ejector member 23, so as to normally hold the inner ejector member 28, at the rear of the ejector member 23. The pin 31, is securedto the inner ejector member 28, and is vextended therefrom, so as to engage in an elongated f slot 32, formed in the ejector member 23.

The above described construction being such as will permit the extended element 26 of the ejector member 23 to be slidably engaffed in the above mentioned cavity 13, f

and which will permit the extended element 29 of the` inner ejector member 28, to lbe* slidably engaged4 in the above mentioned opening 14, as a means of forcing the shaving cream in the cavity 13, and in the opening 14, into the bristles 10. The vlatter described construction being such as will permit the interior of my improved shaving brush to be kept or maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.

It should be understood that when the' cavity 13 and the cavity 16 are filled with soap the ejector 23 when forced inwardly will displace some of the soap through the passage 14. lith the handle member 15 positioned force out only that amount of soap which it displaces and after it has'been forced in' Wardly to the extent of its full length, the

handle member l5 may be screwed down-k wardly on the spindle l2 for positioning the icc as shown in Fig. 3, the ejector can y e'lector 23 closer to the spindle `1 2 to `place t e ejector in an operative position. Depression of the ejector 28 will again dis-- place soap through the passage lilnntil the ejector has been again extended completely into the cavity 16 andthereafter the ejector' may be repositioned as above described.

In Figgfiof the accompanying drawing, I have shown ejector member 23 threadcdly attached, as at 33, in the handle member 15. I have also shown the inner ejector member 28, threadedly attached, as at 34, in the ejectojrnieinber 2.3. The ejector member 23, and

the inner ejector member 28, `are provided with a ert'ures 35, and 36', respectively,

Having thus described iny invention, y what I claim as new and desireV to protect by Letters Patent of the United States is as follows: i

Dispensing means for shaving brushes comprising a tubular handle member having a compartment therein for retaining Soap,

a plunger sli-dab-lyV mounted in said handle member comprising a casing1 for displacing `soap from said compartment, la. forward of said forward section when the latterf isdisposed within said tubular handle member for discharging soap therefrom, and a spring disposed in said casing engaging a shoulder on said rod for normally holding the same in retractedposition in said casing and ont of the soap retaining compartment.
