This invention relates to a cable'conveyer sprocket as described in the present specification and illustrated in the accompany ng plate being formed with-the projecting'lug drawings which form part of the. same.
The invention consists essentially of the novel features pointed out broadly and specifically in the claims for novelty following a description containing an explanation in detail of an acceptable form of the invention.
The objects of the invention are to provide a cable, conveyer sprocket so built that it will retain the conveyer cable thereupon in case the usual cable button engaging the usual gap slipsover the cable; to provide wearing parts which are easily assembled upon and removed from the sprocket; and generally, to manufacture an eflicient and improved gap wheel capable of accomplish ing the aforesaid purposes.

Referring to the drawings, 10 is v the sprocket, having the rim 11, the hub 12, and the usual spokes 13, the hub and spokes forming the web section of the sprocket.
The rim is formed with the desired number of gaps 14 sized to receive and enclose the spaced buttons 15 of a conveyer cable 16, the cable engaging 'the detachable grooved segments 17. The rim, where out off to provide each of the gaps 14, is formed with the horizontally-arranged bottom flange 18 and wheel.
