IMPROVEMENT IN SAFETY-PINS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 166,481, dated August 10, 1875 application filed June 1.6, 1874.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ALFRED SHEDLOCK, of the city of New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented certain Inlproveients in Safety-Pins, of which the following is a specitication:
The pin shown in the accompanying drawings is an improvement on what are known as safety or diaper pins.
Figure l shows the pin opened. Fig. 2 is an end view of the same, and Fig. 3 shows the pin closed with the point within the helical shield.
The improvement consists in attening one end of the Wire and bending it round so as to form a helix, as shown at a. The Wire is bent near the center to form the spring b, and the forth.
