Application filed September 15, 1926. Serial No. 135,661.
The object of this invention is to provide a toilet arrangement adapted formounting beneath astationary washstand, or for mounting independently of other plumbing arrangements, provided a waste pipe connection is available.
A further object is to provide a device which shall include a balanced or weighted element or pipe carrying a bowl, and mount ed in the upper portion of a waste pipe connection, by means of a'flerlible or ball and socket joint or the equivalent thereof, so that the movable portion will normally maintain a vertical position, beneath a washstand, being tiltable and returning to vertical position by gravity.
With the foregoing and other objects in view, struction and arrangement of elements described, illustrated and claimed, it being understood that modifications may be made within the scope of the claims without departing from the spirit of the invention.

connection with a waste pipe 12, it being obvious that the structure comprising the elements 11 and 12 may constitute, in some cases, merely the outlet end of a sewer connection.
A porcelain bowl 14;, preferably of the form illustrated, is connected with a pipe 15 thru a housing 16' for a trap, and this pipe carries or may carry a ball 17 at a point spaced fromthe lower end, and at the lower end is an enlargement or ball element 18, of non-corrosive material, and provided with a plurality of outlet openings 19. Element 18 constitutes a weight or gravity device, and is suflicient to balance the upper portion 55 of the movable structure including the bowl 1% and pipe 15, so that these elements are the invention consists in the novel con-- a casing, the caslng and mounted for movement at normally retained in a vertical position, but the pipe '15 may be tilted outwardly, to the right in Figure 1, and will return to normal or vertical position by gravity.

In Figure pipe 15 is connected with casing 11 by a cap 23 of rubber or leather, retained by a clamp 24. This is to be regarded, not as of secondary importance, but as showing an important form of the device, it being understood that either form may be employed and that the construction at the joint is to be flexible in a broad sense and fluid tight. The entire device is flushe by water from the outlet 10 of the basin of the washstand 10.
Having described the invention What is claimed is 1. A device of the class described, comprising a waste pipe connection constituting a pipe extending thru the top of different angleswith reference to the top, a bowl carried by the upper end of the pipe, and a weighted member carried by the lower end of the pipe. r
