IMPROVEMENT IN WEATHER-STRIPS.
h Specitication forming part of Letters Patent No. 165,922, dated July 27, 1875; application filed December 2H, 1874.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FRANK FLEURY, of Springfield, in the county of Sangamon and in the State of Illinois, have invented a new and useful Improvement in feather-Strips;
and I do hereby declare that the following is Y a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawings, which are made a part of these specifications, and
to the letters and figures of reference marked' thereon.
Figure l is a front View of strip. a vertical section of strip. View of tubing. Fig. 4 is an end View of metal rod. Fig. 5 is a View of metal fastening. Fig. 6 is a front View of strip applied to the door.
The nature ofniy invention consists in an adjustable weather-strip, the construction and Fig. 2 is Fig. 3 is an end arrangement of which will be hereinafter fully set forth.
In order to enable others skilled in the art to which my invention appertains to make and use the same, I will now proceed to describe its construction and operation.
A represents ieXible tubing, which may be made oi' rubber, felt, or other like material,
and of any suitable size. B represents a metal rod placed within the tubing', and of sufiicient size to retain the tubing` in proper position. (l represents metal fasteniugs, which are suitably shaped for the purpose of holding the strip securely upon the door.
The strip may be adjusted by bending to suit any depression worn in the door-sill, and is fastened to the lower part of the iifside of door with metal screws placed within the eye
