My invention largely comprises the provision of a lock member 10 arranged to engage the lever 4, as seen in Figure 2, and pivotally mounted at 11 on a bracket 12. The bracket 12 supports a pressure diaphragm casing 13 containing, as seen in Figure l, the pressure diaphragm 14 adapted to be acted on atits upper side by pressure of water supplied to the casing 13 by a pipe- 15 which leads ofi' to a point of connection 16 with the water supply main 1.; Pipe 15 may be provided with a cut-ofi'valve 17 in its length.
i 20 on the locking member 10. A drain and pressure gauge supporting pipe 21 extends also from the casing 13 and is equippedwith a drain a cook 22 and the pressure gauge 23.
lVith the parts of my inventioncon-y structed as stated, the operationis as follows: Assuming that the water supply tank E is filled with the water necessary for a batch of ,concretetobe mixed by the mixing drum raise theskip 9 there is not sufficient water, in the tank E tobe used for the batchto be mixedin the drum the condition will \iIlVOlVQ the passing of the water from the main 1 tovthe tank E. hen thewaterli passing from I the water main, 1 to the tank E thepressure in the it'ormeris lowered,
and, immediately said pressure, is lowered, as willbe the case under the condltionnow described, the spring 18 will force the dia-lv phragm 14: upwards and raise thelock mem ber 10 to a position engagingthe knockout lever/l. \Vhile in such position as is shown in Figure 2, the operator of thermachine cannot throw theclutcli leyer 2 so as to raise theskip. Assoon as the tank E has filled from the water main 1 the full pres; surein the main 1 is restored and willrpass through the pipe 15 to the diaphragm casing 13 and actuate the diaphragm to lower the lock member, 10 in self evident manner.
/Vhen so lowered, of course, the operator may freely shift the lever 2 to clutch D and raise the skip 9 K Having thus described my invention what I claim as new, and desire to secure throw on the The diaphragm 14; is normally uppressed by a spring 1 8,and a rod 19connect's the diaphragm 14 with a projection by Letters Patent of the United States, is
