The operation of my machineis as follows.

bristles 49 engage the side wall and the bristles 38 engage the bottom/ wall of the bottle, as shown in full lines in Fig. 1. Water under pressure is introduced through pipe 22, coupling 20, tube 21 and its perfora-V tions 31 into the bottle.
Power being applied through belt 74 and pulley to the shaft 73, the sprocket 72 is rotated, which through chain 7'1vrotates'the sprockets 15 and bases 3 ofthe units 1, to-
gether with the holding means 54 and the" bottles 4 in said units.` The' rotation of ythe bottles causes the brushV 7 to wipe the interior of the bottles 4 and wash the same with water until thoroughly cleaned. The water 'escapes from the bottles through tho mouths thereof and through bore 17, outlets 66. outlets 67 and drains 68 into the tank 70. Then washed the bottles may be lifted out of the units, the brushes 7 folding to permit the same to pass out through the mouths ofl the bottles. v
By loosening the screws 44 the arms 35 and 37 may be extended or shortened. so that the brush will wipe bottles of different diameters, and when so adjusted the brush may be secured in such position by tighteningsaid screws. v
It will be understood that I may change or modify my invention within the scope of the appended claims, without departing from the Vspirit thereof.
What I claim is:
1. In a bottle washing machine, a rotatable base for supporting and rotating a'bottlo, stationary 'water injecting means extending upwardlyfom said base to be introduced into the bottle, a collapsible brush comprising threebrush members, two of said brush members .being pivotally connected to and extended radially kfrom said stationary means, a third brush member being pivotally connected to the free ends of said first two brush members so that the brush Vmay be expanded when the bottle is placed on said rotatable base, to enable the brush to wipe the interior of the upper, lower and side walls of the bottle, respectively, and means for adjusting the brush to wipe bottles of different diameter. y
2. In a bottle washing machine, a rotatable base-for supporting and rotating a bottle,
Y stationary water injecting means extending upwardly from said base to ybe introduced into the bottle, a collapsible brush comprising three ybrush members, two of ,said brush membersbeing pivotally connected to vsaid stationary means, a third brush member being pivotally connected to the free ends of Vsaid first'two brush members so that the being formed into sections, and means for adjusting said sections with relation to each yotherto vary the length of said first two brush members, to enablethe brush to wipe bottles of different diameters. 3. In a bottle washing machine a rotatable base for supporting and' rotating a: bottle, stationary water injecting means upstanding from said base, to be introduced-into the bottle, a collapsible brush composed of three members, two of said members being pivotally'connected to said stationary water injecting means, and the third brush member being pivotally connected at its ends to the freeA ends of said first two brush members, the connection between one of said first two brushes and said third brush member comprising a socket bearing in one of said first two brush members, a pivot mounted to turn in said socket bearing, a rod connected at one end to said pivot and extending into said third brush member, and a spring in said third brush member connected to the other end of said rod, and to a fixed point in said third brushmember.
4. In a bottle washing machine a rotatable base for supporting and rotating la bottle, stationary water injectingmeans upstanding from said base to be introduced into the bottle, a collapsible brush composed of three members, two of said members being pivotally connected to said stationary water injecting means, and the third brush member being pivotally connected at its ends tothe free ends of said first two brush members,

5. In a bottle washing machine a rotatable base for supporting and rotating a bottle, provided with a central bore extending therethrough, and outlets extending from said bore, a hollow stationary coupling extending through the bore being of smaller` cross sectional area than said bore in said rotatable base, a perforated tube secured to the upper end yof said coupling, means connected to said kcoupling for injecting water therethrough vand through said perforated tube into the bottle, and a brush mounted on said tube for wiping the interiorrof the bottle.
6. In a bottle washingmachine a rotatable base provided with an axial bore, and with outlets leading from said bore, an annular gasketkfitted in the upper end of said base around said bore, upon which the mouth of the bottle may be placed, means forfholding gasket, a hollow stationary coupling extending upwardly through said borein spaced relation thereto, a perforated tube connected to the upper end of said coupling to be extended into the bottle when mounted on said base,- and a brushv connected to said tube for wiping the interior of the bottle when r rotated.
