Referring now more particularly to the drawings, the numeral 10 generally designates a substantially rectangular frame having at its lower end a horizontally entending ledge 11. Vertically slidable upon this frame are arms, generally designated at 12, which are adapted to engage over the upper edges of an open magazine at the center of adjacent the edge of the pages thereof. Longitudinally slidable upon the ledge 11 are vertically extending arms 13, which are adapted to engage the magazine at their approximate center of the leaves .thereof and prevent these leaves from bulging outwardly from the forward face of the frame 'l0 for too great a distance. The frame 10 1s preferably formed from relatively heavy wire, and the frame is braced at its approxihereinafter'more fully set forth.
The upper and lower members of the framev are connected by vertically extending guide wires 16, which form guides upon which the arms 12 are slidably mounted. The guide wires 16 are arranged in pairs, one pair being at the center of the frame and the other pairs being arranged adjacent each side thereof. Each side member 17 has its lower ends extended below the lower end of the frame and formed with an eye 18 providing a means for attaching the frame 10 to a support hereinafter more fully described.
The ledge 11 is preferably likewise formed from wire and comprisesan outer member 19, the ends of which are angularly bent and secured to the side members 17 of the frame, as indicated at 20. Connecting the angularly bent portions of the outer member of the ledge 19 is a second wire element 21 paralleling the outer element 19. Adjacent their centers and at opposite sides thereof, braces 22 connect the members 19 and 21 withthe lower member 23 of the frame 10 and these braces provide means limiting sliding movement of the arms 13 which are mounted upon the members 19 and 21 toward the center of the completed holder.
Each arm 12 comprises a wire element, bent in U-form and having attached to one arm thereof transversely extending wires 24'-, the ends of which are formed with eyes 25 slidably receiving the vertically extending wires 16. The cross wires 2-1 are vertically spaced upon the arm of the U upon which they are attached and are rigidly secured thereto. The arms 13 each comprise a piece of wire bent in l.form, the wire at the end of the foot of the L being reverted, as at 26, so that this revert may overlie the member 21. Secured to the stem 27 of the L is across wire 28, the ends of which are downbent and provided with eyes 29 slidably receiving the outer member 19 of the ledge. It will be obvious that the arms 13 will be securely held against oscillatory ing downward movement of the arms 12, as
