The invention relates to punches, and

particularly to hand punches, vsuch, as are usually employed by jconductors, waiters,

and others for punching tickets, cards; sheets, l and the like. n y

It is one of the prime object-s of the invention to provide a punch of the character above referred to .vith means whereby the male and female punching elements may be readily changed, 'substituted or replaced, and thus lpermit punch elements having'different characters to be associated with the 'same' punch Aframe and punch actuating mechanism.v

It is another featurerof the invention to' employ a'guide for the male punching ele-v ment, whichl guide is provided with means for engaging the male punching element-,and holding it against rotation, or in other Words, preventing it from moving out of register With the female vdie element, the outline `of which., and the outline of the male die element, in many instances, necessitating the accuratealignment with each other ot both die elements to insure their proper operation. f

It is another object of the invention to construct -the guide, or bearing, for the die pin so that the ticket,` card, or sheet to be punched may readily be viewed and the point of application of the die pin easily and readily ascertained. thereby permitting the dies to be accurately applied to the desired place on the ticket', card, or sheet. v

A further object of the invention is to construct the guide. or bearing. for the die pin so that itv 'will permit the association with, and operation of. a lever with saiddie pin While the pin is in operativek position Within the guide. i y,

It is another feature ofthejinvention to provide a holding element for one of the die elements which is removable from the punch frame, as to permit the ready substitution of one die element lfor anothenand to fun ther construct said holding element so that it will receive the die element. i ,v

In addition it is an object to construct both theY die element and the holding means so that one Will cooperate With the other and prevent the relative' rotation vof one,v vvith respect to the other. y
