A brake beam safety bracket comprising the combination with a channeled truck beam having notches in the edges of the side flanges thereof, of a strap disposed over said beam and having .end portions depending therefrom at each side of said beam, said end portions having slots therein in registry withsaid notches, and a bracket bar passed through said slots and notches beneath said beam.
3. A brake beam safety bracket comprising the combination with a channeled truck beam having its side flanges notched in transverse alignment, of a strap disposed over said beam and formed with depending end portions at opposite sides thereof, said end. portions extending below said beam and having vertical slots therein for registry with said notches, a bracketbar passed beneath said beam in the slots of said strap end portions and extending from opposite sides of said beam, a portion of said bar being seated in said notches to prevent shifting longitudinally of the beam.
4. A brake beam safety bracket comprising the combination with a channeled truck beam having its side flanges depending and tending beyond the sides thereof, and means on said bar for preventing shifting thereof transversely of said beam.
