This valveihas formed therein an opening at present disclosed as provided by terminating the valve wall short of the inner ends of the Vflanges 33. The shaft 16 has a rigid. piston 36,l the outer end of which slidably engages the vwall 13 and the side faces of which fairly closely lit against the walls 11 and 12.
Upon the outer face of the wall 13 is secured one end of ay flexible' element 37,`the opposite end of which is attached to the asile 38 of the vehicle,this flexible element beingp'assed about 'the perimeter of the drum in such manner that when the axle approaches the drum and the flexible element'is slackened, the drum, in its rotation 'by the spring 26, will wind the fieXible element upon the periphery of the drum.
