Referring specifically-to the drawings, my invention, in its present embodiment, comprises a bracket formed of relatively thin I material, such as metal or the like and of substantially U-shaped form. so as to snugly embrace the opposite sides and upper edge .of a window l5. The bracket consists of a Arelatively short arm 16 disposed at the inner side ofthe window and the relatively flongvarm 17 disposed at the outer side of the window,v with a portion 18 connecting the two arms at their upper ends and lying contiguous to the upper edge ofthewindow.

This connection between the blades also permits the blades 25 to nest withinv the master blade when the latter is moved to the position shown in Figure l.

An inijgiortant feature ot my invention is the provision ot a mounting 4for the semaphore arm on a motor vehicle window which permits of the complete closing oi the Windenv and the operation of the semaphore arm V'from a point at the inner side oi the Window so that in inclement Weather the drivel' ofi the vehicle majv completely close the Window and still operate his signal. When it is desired not to use the signal, it ma)y be readiljy ren'ioved 'from the Window and ae easily applied when desiring to nee the same.
Although I have herein shown and described onlyY one 'l'orm ot direction signal embodying: my invention, it is to be under stood that various changes and modiiicatione may be made therein without departing :from the spirit of the invention and the spirit and eeope of the appended claims.
I claim as my invention:
l. A direction signal comprising a U- Shaped bracket` a U-shaped conduit on the bracket, a rounded projection on the bracket, a semaphore arm pivoted on the projectioin and a cable connected to the arm at a point below the pivot thereof so as to engage Said projection. Said cable being trained through the conduit.
