A switch mechanism and its hollow elongated enclosure, the latter open at one end to receive a socket provided with rearwardlydirected terminals, an insulating support fixed to and between, and partially sustained by, said terminals and extending rearwardly therefrom, iand switch blades i" mounted on said insulating support and thereby insulated from each other and adapted to close on said terminals, said insulating support being otherwise unattached and the switch blades being movable with ,said support to be moved endwise from the case with said socket.

A switch mechanism and its hollow velongated case, the latter open at one end to said terminals and extending rearwardly v therefrom, switch blades fixed at their rear ends to said support and thereby insulated from each other and springable towards each other and said terminals to close the switch, and an actuator extending through the wall of the case and having rocking and axial movement therein and provided at its end between said blades with an oblong cross sectional terminal and exterior to said ter minal with tapered or wedge faces to engage corresponding faces of parts that act with a spreading effect on said blades to open said switch. i

A switch mechanism and its hollow elongated case, the latter open at one end to receive a socket provided with rearwardly spaced terminals, an insulating support fixed to said socket between said terminals and extending rearwardly therefrom, switch blades, insulating strips lying between said insulating support and said blades, with means to fix the rear ends of said blades to said strips and insulating support, said blades being normally springable at their other ends toward said terminals, said insulating bodyand strips being notched between their ends, a U-shaped wear plate tit-ted to the notched port-ions of said insulatingV support and strips, and an axially movable and rocking actuator member extending through the wall of' the case and having an oblong cross section terminal fitted between the arms of said U-shaped wear plate, said wear plate extendingbeyond said insulating support and provided at its open side with flaring margins, and the actuator member being provided with corresponding tapered portions to fit the `flaring margins of said wear strip.
