Description

w. SAARE WASHBOILER Filed March 6, 1926 Patented July 12, 1927.
WALTER SAARE, OF LEIPZIG, GERMANY.
WASHIBOILEB.
Application filed March 6, 1926, Serial No.
This invention relates to improvements in the known fountain insertion for use in wash boilers, which consists of a shallow round bonnet having an upwardly extending central tube, for preventing a burning of the wash at thebottom of the wash boiler and for allowing the boiling water to ascend in said tube and to act from above upon the wash to be treated.
vision of controllable outlet openings in the top end of said tube, 2 in the resilient mounting of said insertion within the Wash boiler.
The accompanying drawing illustrates the improvements: Fig. 1 is a front view, partly in section, of a wash boiler fitted with the improved insertion, and Figs. 2 and 3 show the latter in a front view and sectional plan view respectively.
The insertion comprises a round bonnet a forming a cavity 6 in its interior and having openings 0 in its outer circumference. Said bonnet carries an upwardly extending central tube d having outlet openings 6 in its top end. The latter carries an axially rotatable cylindrical member 7 havin a cover g and apertures h in its walls, wiich can be made to wholly or partly coincide with the outlet openingse in the tube (1.
The improvements consist, 1, in the pro- 92,913, and in Germany September 25, 1925.
By a rotation of said member 7, the outlet openings 6 can be more or less closed and thus controlled.
The cover 9 of the member f has two holes therein, through which pass stems i of a disc is, a-pressure springl being inserted between said cover and disc.
When putting the lid 12 on the wash boiler, thus, the insertion is resiliently pressed upon the bottom m of the wash boiler.
What Iclaim, is:
1. The combination of a wash boiler, with an insertion consisting of a shallow round bonnet having a perforatedcircumferential edge and an upwardly extending'central V 2 tube thereon havin outlet openings in its top end, of an axia 1y rotatable cylindrical member on the top end of said tube having apertures therein adapted to coincide with the outlet openings in said tube.
2. In a construction as specified in claim 1, a disc arranged above and guided on said cylindrical member, and a pressurespring located between said disc and member, substantially set forth.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand.
WALTER, SAARE.
