to a very great extent, leaka ge of any fluids which may bepassing' through. So far as I amaware,'it has not been possible to manufacture hollow bends, angles, junc-' tions, and other such ducts or mouldings wherein the material is of a similar density except by the-vibratory process, which is slow, and the articles, when produced, 1nvariably contain pores which are a cause of weakness. J
The object of this invention is the production of a machine whereby these articles can be made free of pores and in very much less time.
In carrying out my invention I provide a number of rectangular or otherwise suitably shaped plates of iron or suitable-materal, mounted upon a wooden or other suitable base forming a mould box in which the articles are moulded and which are bolted or otherwise secured together and are carried in a suitable frame so that they can be rotated at the desired speed. These mould boxes have a central hole or passage through them, and'radiat-ing therefrom or arranged tangentially thereto is a number of moulds of the required shape and size, in which the bends or angles or other articles are formed. The cores are. carried by suitable means. The moulds may be formed in each face of the plates so that each plate may carry two half moulds. As an alternative, I may form the moulds in a solid mass, of iron, concrete, or other material, instead of in the face of the plates. I
To the mould boxes are fitted sectional cover plates, either singlyor in sets, and these mould boxes are assembled in a separable cylinder or otherwise held in position so that they may be spun round at any desired speed and by any suitablemeans.

6 is a section of the cover plates, which are kept in place on the mould boxes by dowels 7 fitting into holes 8 in the under side ofthe cover plates, and secured by studs 9 and turn buttons 10. Two or more of the half moulds are bolted together by bolts and nuts 11.
The cores are made in three sections consisting of two outer sections 12 and a central tapered section 1S,'by which the outer sections are locked together. This provides a collapsible core, which can be easily withdrawn from the moulds.
14. is a hinged cylindrical or other casing for assembling the mould boxes, the two halves ofwhich are clamped together, 15 indicates the hinge, and 16 the clamping flange. If of shape other than cylindrical, circular tracks would be formed or secured thereon so as to facilitate rotation.
As an alternative arrangement, the cylindrical or other casing may be dispensed with and circular end plates secured at each end of the units of moulds. In this, as well as the arrangement where the casing is used, dowels and dowel holes may be provided in the respective faces of the mould, so as to ensure their correct registration.
17 are flanges which fit inside the cylinder and which are clamped thereto by bolts 18. The central passages 2 through the two end mould boxes assembled in the casing are fitted with square metal frames 19 with,
rounded corners held to mould boxes by lugs 20 and turn button 21. These frames coir tract the size of the holes, prevent the filling materialtro m esca in and enable the same to be fed into the mould boxes from both ends ofthe; casing, and, when removed, provide for the removal of the slurry or any over-plus of material ted to the moulds.
In using the invention, I prefer to secure two half mouldboxes together by the cover plates 6, which then form a unit. it then assemble a number otthese u its and. secure them together by bolts and nuts 11 and tit them intoa separable cylinder by clamping the cylinder together by clamps or by other suitable means. The assembled units are then rotated at high speed and the concrete or other materiahas it is. fed into the central holes of the units, is, by centrifugal force, thrown outward in the respective moulds. li hen the moulds are filled, the moulded articles re allowed time to set, and, by dissembling the mould boxes and removing the cores, lie moulded articles can be withdrawn from the moulds.
Slight modifications may be resorted to without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention.

In improvement in apparatus for making hollow bends, angles or such like bodies of concrete or other material, the combination of mould boxes consisting of half moulds formed of the required shape held together by sectional covers and provided with a central teed hole as and for the purpose set herein described. 7
