parts, to be hereinafter fully described, il-.
- lustrated in the accompanying drawings and specifically pointed out in the appended claim.
v In describing-my invention in detail, reference will be had to the accompanying drawings wherein like characters denote like or corresponding parts throughout the several views, and in which: r
Figure 1 is a perspective view of the device.
Figure 2 is a section on line 2-2 of Fig- Y ure 1.
- As shown in these views, the irmer sole is formed ofan upper layer 1 of cork and .2 atliick lower layer 2 of sponge rubber, the
cork being covered on. its upper face by fabric 3 of any suitable kind. a This inner sole gives a soft tread-to the foot, thus insuring easy walking and'p'reo.
" An inner sole of venting the feet from becoming calloused Q- and sore.
The inner sole can alsobe'cleaned whenever desired. I v y p v With this invention, when the wei ht of the body comes on the foot,.while wailking,
the "pressure will force the air out of the sponge portion and when the'foot is lifted,. the pressure is removed and the sponge returns to its normal position and thus draws air into its cells. This will keep the air:
moving in the shoe and will thus keep the air 40 fresh and clean. I
It is thought from the foregoing description that the advantages and novel features of my invention will be readily apparent.
I desire it tobe understood that I may make changes in the construction and'in the combination and arrangement of theseveral parts, provided that such changes fall within the scope of the appended claim.
What I claim is so the class described com prising a top layer of cork, fabric covering the upper face of the cork and a lower layer ofonge rubber, the lower layer being of muc greater" thickness than the cork layer.
In testimony whereof I afiix my signature. r s v onmpns A, ROBERTS.
